Pros and Cons of iPhone XS

Pros and Cons of iPhone XS (iPhone XS Honest Review)

With the advancement of technology, the devices are getting thinner. They also get taller and wider, yet maintain and packing some most advanced features in them. Lately, the processor chip fabrication process has been focused on packing more and more components in many limited and dense spaces. The fabrication process from 14nm came down to 12nm, 10nm and now it has hit the mark of 7nm yet with features and capability higher than the 14nm one. Let’s discuss the pros and cons of the latest iPhone XS.

Apple, on the other hand, has been a company working for innovation and creativity as a whole. When the iPhone X was released, the trend to have a cut-out for the sensors with a screen display, aka notched design started. Many of the manufactures brought forward their own version of the notch but didn’t do quite well compared to Apple as Apple is supposed to be a superior brand and the design pattern is followed after Apple.

With a similar trend, Apple announced its 3 new iPhones this year with the budget, midrange, and premium tags, all being anything but budget. The device follows a similar form factor and design as it had in the iPhone X last year around. It would be a great thing to either see them win commendably or lose miserably.

iPhone XS Quick Specs

  • 8-inch Super Retina HD AMOLED display with 458ppi
  • Dual 12MP wide-angle f/1.8 and telephoto f/2.4 camera
  • Dual OIS, PDAF 2x optical zoom

  • Apple produced A12 bionic chip
  • IP68 water and dust resistance
  • Price: $999 and above

Pros and Cons of the iPhone XS are given below:

Being the device from one of the most popular and respected brands, Apple, the expectations are obvious to be high, promising and one of its kind. But Apple too has human engineers and a little bit of tolerance is accepted, though the pros and cons of the iPhone XS are there to be discussed.

Pros of iPhone XS

  • First 7nm chip fabrication with performance better than the previous version
  • Largest storage option up to 512GB
  • Longer battery standby time as stated by Apple in its keynote
  • IP68 rated
  • Faster charging with type-c to lightning adapter
  • Dual sim with 1 physical and one E-sim support
  • Faster performance than iPhone X
    iPhone XS Pros
  • Better camera performance especially in portrait mode
  • The latest iOS version is out of the box
  • Faster Face ID
  • Relatively louder speakers

Cons of iPhone XS

  • Expensive enough for the base model alone
  • Fragile and prone to breakage all-glass style
  • Most expensive maintenance as back glass repair costs $499 while Note 9’s glass can be replaced at $30
  • Only Face ID for security is a big risky step that Apple has been taking from iPhone X
  • The battery is smaller than iPhone X
  • Wireless quick charging is not so quick.
  • Extra costs for the accessories despite paying such a huge amount, not even fast charger is bundled
  • Newer software needs time to get stable from the errors that the customers are currently facing
  • Dual sim isn’t quite the one we have been expecting to be
  • Not so much of increment to the iPhone X despite some cosmetic changes

Check out the Pros and Cons of iPhone XR.

Conclusion for The Pros and Cons of iPhone XS

Hence, these are a few of the pros and cons of the iPhone XS. iPhone is the biggest name in the smartphone world as Apple being the $1 trillion company now. A bigger name means a bigger price and a better user experience but it might not be the thing we have seen with the Apple devices recently. The Apple enthusiasts might be overwhelmed with the “BIGGER” display, but having only that as an improvement isn’t really the improvement. The form factor is similar to the last version, we would be amazed to see if the bulky cut-out, known as notch would have been slimmer and smaller. The larger battery would have been a great thing as we all know, Apple battery never takes you through the whole day of usage.

Apart from some cosmetic and some software changes, it is just the same iPhone X as the previous version. It isn’t an exciting thing for a company like Apple to make improvements in the cosmetic side and price only. It seems like they had split iPhone X into three parts with a little bit of screen size and display distinction. Bundling some of the adapters for quick charging and other feature wouldn’t make Apple poor as we are already paying a kidney worth of money. Even the lightning to 3.5mm jack adapter has been removed from the box.

If you really want a newer iPhone to update your status, then it’s a device you would definitely go for, but if you already own an iPhone X, I see no point in updating to the newer one.

Solar Energy Pros and Cons

Solar Energy Pros and Cons

 What is solar energy?

Solar energy can be simply referred as an energy provided by the sun which is in the form of solar radiation creating possibilities in the production of solar electricity.

Electricity can be generally produced directly from photovoltaic cells which are made from materials which exhibit the “photovoltaic effect” i.e. when the sun rays hits the PV cell, the photons of light excite the electrons in the cell which makes them to flow because of which the electricity is generated. Solar energy is mainly produced during the day particularly during hot days when air-conditioners drive up electricity.

Australia is known as the sunniest countries in the world so it has huge potential for solar PV to make a significant contribution to electricity generation.

Solar Energy Pros and Cons

photocell boards

Pros of Solar Energy

  1. Renewable

The solar energy available is a renewable energy source which ultimately means that the people cannot run out of solar energy unlike the non-renewable energy sources.

People can have the access to solar energy for another more 6.5 billion years according to NASA.

  1. Good Availability:

Solar energy can be said as the mostly used energy which is easily available all over the world. Not only the countries closer to the Equator but also the countries far away have highest capacity of solar power in the world.

  1. Sustainable:

With being abundant and renewable the solar energy source is also very sustainable. This energy source meets the need of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. There isn’t any way that people can over-consume or over use the solar energy.

  1. Environmentally Friendly

Excessive use solar energy does not cause any kind of pollution. However, there are some emissions which are related with the manufacturing, transportation and installation of solar power systems which is nothing in comparison to most conventional energy sources.

  1. Reduces Electricity Costs

Using a solar energy, the homeowners can reduce their overall electricity expenses as solar energy produce more electricity than what they actually consume. It is calculated that adding solar panels to your home can bring in monthly savings of well above $100 in many states. As a result many homeowners choose leasing or power purchase agreements to finance their solar panels.

  1. Used in various purposes

Solar energy is used for different purposes such as generating electricity in places that have no grid connection, for distilling water in different places, or even to power satellites in space.

  1. Shared Solar

Because of lack of proper sunshine, shading, insufficient space and ownership issues, many American homes are unfit for solar panels. Due to improper sun rays distribution, people have introduced shared solar system, so the homeowners can subscribe to “community solar gardens”, and generate solar electricity with no solar panels on their own rooftops.

  1. Financial Support

The effective costs of solar panels are much less than the price before it used to be. Also in some cases, the price of a residential photovoltaic system can be cut more than 50%. Hence, government and state rebates have become available both on utility-scale and for the majority of homeowners.

  1. Low Maintenance

The attached solar power systems do not require a lot of maintenance. The solar panels require cleaning a couple of times a year. And in most of the cases, serious solar manufacturers ship 20- or 25-year warranties with their solar panels.

  1. Improved Technology

Technological improvements are being made in the solar power industry with new innovation in nanotechnology and quantum physics with the potential to triple the electrical output of solar panels.

Cons of Solar Energy

  1. Price

The price range of solar panels is among the most debatable aspect on the entire solar energy pros and cons list. The solar panel used to be very expensive in back days but nowadays, the best solar panels can in many situations be cheaper than buying electricity from the utility. This has been made possible by its incentives.

  1. Intermittent

Solar energy is not the first choice of any people when it comes to meeting the base load energy demand because it is an intermittent energy source. Its access to sunlight is very limited at certain times i.e. morning and day time and during the overcast days it can be difficult.

  1. Energy Storage is Expensive

The technologies used for energy storage systems such as batteries to help smoothen out demand and load, making solar power more stable is quite expensive.

However, there are good correspondence between the access to solar energy and human energy demand. The electricity demand of the people increases in the middle of the day, the same time when there is a lot of sunlight!

  1. Exotic Materials

Some solar cell is made up of materials that are expensive and rarely found in nature. It is common among the thin-film solar cells which is based on either cadmium telluride (CdTe) or copper indium gallium selenide (CIGS).

  1. Associated with Pollution

Though solar energy is less known for pollution in comparison to fossil fuels, some problems do exist. The manufacturing processes of the panels are associated with greenhouse gas emissions. Some harmful gases Nitrogen trifluroide and sulfur hexafluoride has been traced during the production of solar panels. These are among the most harmful greenhouse gases which have many thousand times the impact on global warming compared to carbon dioxide. As a result, the transportation and installation of solar power systems can also somewhat indirectly cause pollution.

  1. Requires Space

For solar panels to be kept in a house, the power density, or watt per square meter (W/m²) should be considered when looking at the amount of power which can be derived from a certain area of real estate of an energy source.

Pros and Cons of Online Dating

Pros and Cons of Online Dating

Online dating is quick and easy solution to match making. It has blown up over past few years. An estimated 40 million Americans have taken part in online dating at least once in their life. It is becoming more and more common for people to meet and date online. With the advent of social networking sites like Facebook, Instagram and such others, we are busy socializing through interface rather than making relations face to face. Online dating maintains database of large pool of people who had ever signed up for the site with all their information from date of birth to hobbies to likes and dislikes. You have to fill up all the details so your match can be made more precise.

If you are looking for a site that makes your dating easier and enjoyable, then you would better choose the one which asks for more information, makes you fill details about you and requests you to fill in your entire life in details and also run algorithms to increase the likelihood of a good match are going to be very helpful. Since everyone has access to the internet these days, finding someone single in real life is like finding a needle among the bushes. So, online dating is the only option to find someone who is suitable for you.

Online Dating Pros and Cons

Pros and Cons of Online Dating

Though online dating is the easiest thing that can be done, it definitely isn’t the only thing. True love is difficult to find online. It is easy to fall for fake ones there, waiting just to get the most out of your innocence. Some of the pros and cons of such online dating is given below.

Pros of Online Dating

  • Meeting new people

Being limited to your society and community won’t help you in knowing more people unless you are someone who travels a lot. Based on your profile, you can match up with many potential options and can decide to start conversation with them and start to know them more.

  • Matching with like-minded people

Your profile, the way you have set it up, lets you match up with many like-minded people like you. Finding someone like that in real life is very tedious and likely not possible for many of us.

  • No hidden interest

Meeting someone and trying your chance hitting them is unlikely to happen often. But in the online dating world, people are clear what they are looking for and people engage in the conversations willingly. There is no hidden interest of any party involved, everything is crystal clear and with mutual understanding.

  • Good for reserved personnel

It is good option for the people who are just shy to go and talk with people face to face. Behind the interface of the dating site, you are free to express your feeling without any fear of getting judged by anyone. You can say about yourself and know about anyone through the dating site.

Cons of Online Dating

Life isn’t always filled with positive signs. There is con to the online dating as well.

  • Fraud

Matching with like minded people is an advantage for the dating site but you never know who is behind the interface. Most of the time boys fake being girl and play with the emotions of boys who truly are into the relation. Sometimes there is also monetary fraud involved.

  • Unnecessary romantic pressure

Talking with someone via dating site for even few days might look like you have known someone for life time and you are ready to get intimate but in reality, it is never like that. No one who just meet someone who has known them for sometime would get ready to engage physically. Few days, even week is not enough to get someone for lifetime. So, dating site provides unnecessary pressure to get romantic right away.

  • Profile is not a mirror for personality

Just looking at the neatly made profile won’t describe how the person is in real life. Profile can easily be made beautiful to attract more and more opposite sex people, but a neat profile won’t describe the physical well-being. It won’t show you how the person is in behavior, you don’t know their personal hygiene or anything else like that. So, you cannot always depend upon the profile to determine how a person is.

  • Limited time Relationship

Online dating is generally termed as sites for quick relationship. They focus on physical relation more which is sure to end sooner or later. People these days get bored of a single person quite fast when their actual need is fulfilled. So, if you are looking for a relation for lifetime then online dating might not be a solution.

Conclusion on Pros and Cons of Online Dating

Online dating has its advantages on its own. You meet new people, share your lifestyle, share your taste and when you feel you have met someone for you, you can go further. But while they have their advantage, it is not free from cons. Everyone doesn’t have a helpful mind, sometimes people like playing with other’s life and they get involved in fraud. So, it is better you first look for the actual nature and authentication of the people.
